Who We Are

One Club.
Big Spirit.

Welcome to North Sydney Juniors Cricket Club — home of the young Bears! A vibrant community cricket club proudly serving boys and girls across North Sydney and the southern City of Willoughby.

Our Story

Home of the Young Bears

We are a proud, community-based cricket club offering a fun, inclusive and competitive cricket experience for boys and girls aged 5 to 17. A great place for young cricketers to learn and for those experienced to excel in the game.

Our junior players come from a wide range of suburbs including North Sydney, Neutral Bay, Cammeray, Northbridge, Naremburn, St Leonards, Crows Nest, Waverton, McMahons Point, and southern Artarmon.

As the junior arm of the historic North Sydney District Cricket Club — one of Australia's oldest and most respected cricket clubs — we are proud to uphold a strong tradition of sportsmanship, community spirit, and skill development.

We field sides in the North Shore Junior Cricket Association's competitions, with a proud history of championship wins and players representing North Shore District and making NSW state teams.

Our Values

We Are BEARS

Our values guide how we train, play, support each other, and represent our Club — on and off the field.

B
Belonging
We create a welcoming community where every player, family, and volunteer feels included, valued, and part of the team. The Club prioritises participation over exclusion, ensuring players are engaged regardless of skill level.
E
Effort
We give our best at training and on game day, and we learn from every experience — win or lose. Improvement is driven by learning from past games and committing to development.
A
Attitude
We show respect to teammates, opponents, coaches, officials, and ourselves — always. Whether in victory or defeat, players and parents are expected to behave with dignity and humility.
R
Resilience
We bounce back from challenges, stay positive under pressure, and keep learning and growing. Junior cricket is a learning ground — not just for skills, but for building life-ready young people.
S
Spirit
We play for each other and the love of the game, with fairness, fun, and pride in being a Bear. It means putting the team first, sharing success, and bringing positive energy to every match.
Our Grounds

Where We Play

One of the best things about playing for the Bears is the grounds. Our teams play and train at some of the most scenic ovals on Sydney's lower North Shore.

Harbour views, city skylines, historic bridges — our players don't just play cricket, they play it in some of the most beautiful settings in Sydney. From Waverton Park overlooking the harbour to Tunks Park beneath the Cammeray Bridge, every Saturday morning feels a little bit special.
